Marge was born in Edmonton, grew up in the Cherhill area and was the youngest of seven children. She started out working at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Edmonton, then Sangudo, and then with the Toronto Dominion when she moved to Barrhead. She went on to work at the Alberta Distance Learning Center where she retired after working there for 21 years.
Marge loved spending time with her family and many wonderful friends. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed her flowers and making her homemade dill pickles, jams and fruits. Birds were always of great interest especially the swallows and the robins, although she didn’t have much time for the sparrows. She was an avid reader on her kindle and later in life developed a passion for beading and leather work. She loved her computer and created a number of amazing family books including a legacy one for Jackie, Gerald and Ron with lots of loving memories. Marge was a dedicated volunteer with the Wildrose Rodeo Finals for numerous years. She loved attending rodeos and cheering on her Edmonton Oilers.
Marge will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her 3 children Jackie (Terry), Gerald (Charmaine), Ron (Patti) and also 5 grandchildren Kayla, Brooke, Chelby, Tanner and Tori. There were many special holiday traditions around the dinner table and memories made playing cards, sharing stories and always indulging in grandma’s baked goodies that we will always treasure.
Marge is predeceased by her husband Stan, her parents Godfried and Rosie Geherman, her 2 brothers Rudy and Wilfred, and 4 sisters Josie, Gertrude, Tina and Kay.
