Margaret Patricia Sanderman

Mrs. Margaret Sanderman, late of Barrhead, AB, passed away on April 19, 2017 at the age of 96 years. She is survived by her loving family: 4 children, Sterling (Donna), Janice (Bruce), Blaine (Alexandra), Cheryl and special niece Dianne; 9 grandchildren: Adam (Christine), Sarah (Barrett), Corey, Tara (Dane), Kendra, Erin, Rory, Derek and Megan (Christopher); 4 great grandchildren: Austin, Jake, Blair, Reid; sister Anne (Bill) Hilton, sisters-in-law, Irene Dodds and Beatrice Walker, as well as numerous other family and many dear friends.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Hank; sisters, Fae and Kate; brothers, Harvey and Raymond and son-in-law, Les.

In partnership with her husband Hank, they founded Sanderman’s Hardware in 1963. Together they supported many community activities including St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rotary Club, Barrhead Legion, Masons & Eastern Star and the Barrhead Chamber of Commerce. After retiring they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren & great grandchildren, travelling and golfing.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead, with Pastor Kevin Ree officiating.

Donations gratefully accepted to AHS Barrhead Community Cancer Centre, Barrhead Aquatics Center or St John’s Lutheran Church.
