Ewald was born in the farming community of Westlock Alberta on August 12th 1942 and raised on the family farm in Manola Alberta, attending school and working the family farm until his adventurous spirit lead him to travel and see other parts of the country including British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Montana in the United States.
Ewald was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Olga Bohn; siblings, Art, Lena, and Leah.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sister; Lillian (Vern) Ritter and brother; Leonard (Colleen) Bohn along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
While Ewald never married, he lived a full and vibrant life spending time with dear friends & family. Holidays, especially Christmas, were very important to him, as spending time with family was always special to him. In his early years, he traveled working his way throughout the province in forestry, construction and the oil and gas industries. In his later years, Ewald devoted most of his time to the great outdoors and took great pride in gardening and working the land at the original homestead of his parents.
