When I lived at Fort-Assiniboine, Dr. Godberson was my Mother's doctor and also my doctor, and he gave us exceptionally great health care, we left the area in 1993, but always remembered Dr Godberson for everything he done for us!  Condolences sent to his immediate family!

Dr. Godberson was our Doctor and our friend.  He was always there for our  family’s, through the good times and bad. Dr. Godberson came to Swan Hills in the old days, and all through the years would always make a house call if we needed him. 
He was always cooking up a joke to play on Bob Harris, like when he delivered our children, we still laugh at the pictures of our “twins”!
We have so many good memories of our times with Dr. Charlie, He touched our lives in so many ways, and will be dearly missed.

It’s always sad when this world loses fine, good people - as Dr. Godberson was.  He was my Grandpa Schmidt’s Dr. for many, many years. As far back as I can remember, as a wee little girl, I remember hearing his name, especially when we were with my Grandparents. My Grandpa had lots of health issues and Dr. Godberson was the one that helped him through many of those issues.  He was always highly spoken about in our family. I personally never met him, but I know he took good care of my Dear Grandpa and for that I am very greatful!  To his family and friends, I’m very sorry for your loss.

    Our condolences to you all . We are  so sad to hear of your Dad passing away . No matter how old they are , it's so very sad when they leave us! He was our family Doctor for years , delivered our 3 children! He was a good friend and neighbour of Earl and Jessie Lane. I remember him slipping over after a days work for a rum and coke  with Earl !!
   He was definitely a very dedicated Doctor to his patients. I remember as a kid he would make house calls no matter what time of the night it was , he always told my Mom to never hesitate to call if one of us kids were sick!  With 7 kids in the family he was called quite a number of times!! Thank God for  Dr. Godberson!! R.I.P.

"Doc" was our family doctor.  I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with him, first as a growing child, and then as a young adult. He was fun, had a great sense of humour, as well as being an exceptional physician.  I, unfortunately, had a serious medical event in my late teens that caused me an extensive hospital stay in Barrhead, and then University Hospital in Edmonton.  The final result was a serious and risky kidney operation.  He was a rock to me, visited me in the Edmonton hospital, and helped my parents and family deal with a very difficult and emotional time.  I will cherish the memories, that marvelous smile, and to the Godberson family, know "Doc" touched many lives, and I am certain, saved a few too boot!! He will be missed. 

Had so many great conversations at the bank with Dr. Godberson, and he got me really good with is flaming wallet!  Rest In Peace, you have earned it

"Doc Godberson", as my Dad John Hosack would call him was a wonderful caring man and a blessing to our community.  Him and my Dad spent many flying hours together and sometimes getting into mischief together.  Him & Doc Keir were our family physicians since they came to Barrhead and  I babysat Dr. G's kids as a teenager.  He was one special guy with an amazing sense of humor.  Condolences to his family & friends. You will be remembered with much love and respect.

Donald Maurice & Brigitte A first cousin to Charles our Sympathy's to his Family and his Best Friend Betty Properzi.
My first memory of my cousin Charles was when I was 5 then standing on  the edge of my mom's chair when he graduated from the U of A in 1957. 
Charlie always had a great sense of humor, when we met him and Betty at the Walmart in St Albert before we went for lunch, he asked if I would drive. As I went to open the drivers door to let him out he says to me. " Good to see you Don, you  have quite a solar panel going on there now" and we laughed like hell. He always had a good joke to tell when we met. When ever I called he would ask, so how's the weather in Mexico and I would say just terrible and he would laugh. One of the nicest time I spent with Charles is when we drove down to  his nephew Gary and Sara's tenth Anivesary we talked about his family and how proud he was of his children and how he missed his mom and dad when they passed.
He touched so many.

A Great Doctor for earlier times; always available, extremely dedicated and caring!  🌸  Our condolences to all of Dr. G’s family and good friends.  (Or as Bob would call him, Dr. god).  I first experienced him as  he sold  Rotary calendars.  The bell rang, I heard the door open, and we met as he entered the kitchen.  This guy with bushy eyebrows and very white hands said he was with Rotary, went to the stove, opened the hot marmalade pot, sniffed, and said “this smells good, what is it?”  Sat himself at the table and we chatted, and I still did not know his name when he left fifteen minutes later.  Soon after Bob & Dr. G. always talked Power Shares.  Even  last July at a mini auto show at Keir Care, when I mentioned T.A . Shares, it seemed to bring a tiny smile to his face. Our condolences to the Godberson Family and to Betty. Charlie was a very dedicated professional, who cared deeply for his patients, even finding time to do house calls to seniors. Despite his busy practice he still found time to belong to several service clubs and found many ways to give back to his community. I recall him always finding time to volunteer as door monitor or secretary for a few sessions of the Barrhead Rotary Music Festival each year. His medical skills, humor, community service and "distinctive eyebrows" will long be remembered! Rest in Peace Dr. Godberson.

My condolences to the family of DR Godberson he was a very wonderful man and Docter, I have known him all my life since I was a baby, he use to make me laugh when I was little every time I had to go see him when I got sick  and he was my family's doctor up until he retired, he took care of my parents and my siblings when we were sick, he will be missed by all of the people he took care of when he was a doctor in the barrhead health care hospital and clinic. My sincere condolences.  It was a pleasure to know and work with Dr Godberson. 

I remember getting my first ride in an airplane with Charlie. I was a newly wed in June 1963 and my husband Alvin, who was also a Rotarian, had arranged with Charlie to give us a tour over Barrhead and area. I was picked up after school and as a surprise was told what we were going to do. The colours were beautiful as it was mid September. Just an example of Charlie’s generosity.
