Stephen Mills

Mr. Stephen Franklin Mills age 60 of Barbourville, departed this life on Monday, December 12, 2016 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of Sawyer Mills and Mary E. (Bowling) Kelly born to them on March 30, 1956 in Hyden, KY. Stephen loved visiting and talking to people and riding his bicycle, dancing, playing pool and bowling in his younger days.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sawyer Mills, two brothers, Clarence & Sawyer Mills, Jr and three sisters, Bessie Mills, Geraldine Disney and Frances White.

He leaves behind, his mother, Mary Kelly of Shipshewana, Indiana, his friend Bonnie Ball of Corbin, two sons, Stephen Franklin Mills, Jr. of Florida and Richard Todd of Girdler, two daughters, Josette Mills and Noel Mills both of Florida, two brothers, Gary Mills of Barbourville and Eddie Smith of Elkhart, Indiana, four sisters, Faye Mills of Elkhart, Indiana, Arlene Norris and husband Dennis of Shipshewana, Indiana, Bess Maines of Barbourville and Juanita Barger of Cabot, Arkansas. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Stephen Franklin Mills will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Grubb officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be all his co-workers and friends at the Barbourville Courthouse. He will be laid to rest in the Gambrel Cemetery at Woolum, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
