On May 7, 2024, Wendell “Jack” Lee Bloodsworth Jr. suddenly passed away. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Joan M. Bloodsworth (nee Beddoe); devoted father of Diane L. Pennington, her late husband Jamie, Steve L. Bloodsworth, his wife Teresa, Scott L. Bloodsworth, his wife Michelle; loving grandfather of Danny Porter, Scott Gossman, Andrew Bloodsworth, Amanda Atwell (Joey), Justin Pennington (Colleen), Jarred Pennington (Natalie), Evan Bloodsworth, Jesse Pennington, Chris Bloodsworth (Jessica), Max Bloodsworth, Mason Bloodsworth; cherished great grandfather of A.J. Atwell, Caleb Pennington, Henry Bloodsworth; dear brother of the late Phyllis Hughes. Wendell Joined the Army in February of 1953 where he spent one year in Germany and was Discharged in 1955. In June of that same year, he joined the Maryland Air National Guard and later became a Full Time Technician in April of 1957 until his retirement in 1988. Wendell liked taking pictures of Streetcars and Buses. His collection over the years had grown to over 100,000 slides and Photos. He enjoyed watching the Orioles and Ravens.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Charles S. Zeiler and Son Funeral Home, 6224 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224, on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
