Robert Anthony DeRosa

On February 7, 2013, Robert Anthony DeRosa, Sr., 86, died at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1926, in New York. Robert was an active member of the Cardinal Gibbons Council # 2521, Knights of Columbus, the Sunshine Club, and was an active volunteer at St. Joseph Medical Center and The Maryland School for the Blind; beloved husband of Dolores McLaurin-DeRosa, whom he married on October 11, 1997; devoted father of Catherine Grimes, James DeRosa and partner Rosemary Deal, Joyce Contrino and husband Vince, Cynthia DeRosa and husband Craig Mistler, and the late John and Robert DeRosa, Jr.; stepfather of Susan Wachter, Patrick and Judy McLaurin, and the late John McLaurin; loving grandfather of Franklin and Michael Grimes, Lisa George and husband Brian, Jessica Numbers and husband Steven, Linda, John and Jeremy DeRosa, Samantha and David Dickey, Jr.; great-grandfather of Abigail Grimes, Joshua and Zachary Numbers.

Relatives and friends may gather at Miller-Dippel Funeral Home, Inc., 6415 Belair Rd., Baltimore MD 21206, on Sunday and Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Moreland Memorial Park.
