Lawrence Allen Jack (grandpa), 91, died peacefully on July 12, 2022. He was born August 24, 1930 to Cleveland and Clarrissa Jack in Fresno. He married Roberta Fleming in November 1951 (later divorced). He enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1951. He served in the Korean War as a radio operator from July 1952 to August 1953. They had two sons Larry and Jerry Jack.
He worked for the California DMV as a license supervisor and retired after 28 years. He then met his long time loving companion, Reveta Hawley. They spent over 20 years together and enjoyed traveling the world. They took trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, and numerous road trips across the US. Grandpa also enjoyed spending free time helping his son Larry with his landscape business.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cleveland and Clarrissa Jack, his sisters Esther and Stella, his brothers Art and George, his son Larry Jr., and his longtime partner Reveta. He is survived by his brother Franklin Jack, his son Jerry Jack, daughter in law Carolyn Jack, grandchildren Melissa Martinez (Robert) and Jeremy Jack, several great grandchildren and a few nieces and nephews.
Lawrence will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and patience. He was always willing to help his family, friends, and neighbors when he could. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to give a special thanks to Marguerite, Marilou, Janet and Gloria who loved and cared for Lawrence like he was one of their own. He really appreciated you ladies. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial in the Garden of Resurrection at 10am August 2.
