Judy Irene Pontecorvo was born on December 15, 1946, passed away peacefully in Hanford California on November 27, 2023, at the age of 76. Judy grew up in Bakersfield and graduated from South High School in 1964.
Judy worked at the Bakersfield Police Department and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office before going to work for AAA Insurance for over twenty years. Judy retired from AAA Insurance in 2013.
Judy was a loving mother to her three sons Robert, Richard, and Ryan. She also has 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Judy truly loved her family and spent as much time with them as she could.
Judy loved the holidays, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed hanging out with her friend’s playing cards, bingo, dinner and going to concerts.
Judy was preceded in death by her eldest son, Robert R. Pontecorvo III and her parents George and Neva Carson and brother George Carson.
Judy is survived by her sons Richard and Ryan and Grandchildren Christopher, Briana, Ashley, Brittney, Brandon, Logan and Great grandchildren Bennett, Blake and Zachary and many more friends and family.
A funeral service for Judy will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
