Emily Jane Undergraves "Emily Jane Breen"

August 17, 1925 (Armour, South Dakota) - October 27, 2022 (Bakersfield, California)

The beloved daughter of (Elizabeth Weber & Frances Breen), Wife of (Donald Graves - Deceased) & (Neil Undergraves - Deceased), Mother to (Paul & Janice Graves) & (Michael & Tiffani Graves), Grandmother to (Matthew Graves) & (Benjamin & Baleigh Graves), Great Grandmother to (Neil & Nova Graves).

She worked in accounting and bookkeeping for over 45 years. Loved life, enjoyed many activities, and loved to dance at the Rasmusen Center with her friends.

She lived on her own and was a vibrant and self-sufficient until her illness. She was ahead of her time, working her entire life in a male dominated world with less pay than her counterparts to help support her family.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.

Dementia is a cruel disease and especially difficult for those like her, who lived life to the fullest and struggled hard to overcome the effects.

We want to thank the staff of Village Gardens who watched over and fell in love with her during her stay and a special thanks to the staff of Bakersfield Community Hospice for the expert care they provided at the end.

A funeral service for Emily Jane Undergraves was held Monday, November 7, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
