Deborah Kay Murphy

Deborah Kay Murphy went to be with the lord on October 16,2022 surrounded by loved ones. Debbie was born to Glen and Laura Thomas on June 29,1955 in Marianna, Arkansas. She moved to Bakersfield,CA in 1960 where she attended Beardsley and North High School. She later went on to major in Liberal Arts at Bakersfield College and became a preschool teacher at NOR for 18 years. Debbie leaves behind her 3 children David Robertson and wife Sandra, Terry Murphy and wife Alyssa, and daughter, Amanda Murphy; her mother Laura Thomas, Brother Rick Thomas and wife Sue, Sister Glenda Harris and husband Jamie; 3 grandchildren Trenton Robertson, Anastasia Robertson, and Lilly Murphy; 2 great grandchildren Vyla Rose and Aterios Ezor-El Diaz . She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews she loved dearly. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
