Bonifacio, fondly known as Gone by his family, was born to Jose and Juana Villalobos, on April 8, 1932, in Paracuaro, Guanajuato. He was a kind, generous, and loving man who had an extremely high work ethic. He worked picking fruit in the San Juaquin Valley. Gone also loved working out in his yard. He took pride in planting trees and tending to them. All his trees bared beautiful fruit and continue to do so.
Gone had a great sense of humor that would take you by surprise at times. And his smile and twinkle in his eyes were infectious. He enjoyed playing dominoes up until the last year of his life. No one whether young or old was a match for him and he loved winning. But the thing most dear to his heart was his family. He would always say that happiness for him was being around his children and grandchildren. He loved nothing more than talking about their achievements. He was their number one fan, and he was always the first to reach out and help a family member in any way he could.
Gone loved music. His favorite genres were boleros and traditional rancheras. He especially enjoyed telling stories about his journeys from Mexico to the United States. He vividly described how he crossed rivers and deserts to get to “El Norte.”
Gone will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his four children: Laura, Boni, Robert, and Nancy. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Dani, Annie, Jackie, Angel, Dante, Alessandro, and Diego.
