Roger was born on April 19, 1949 in Bay Shore, the youngest child of Sylvester (Bill) and Viola (nee Spelman) Fox.
As a young man Roger loved building hot rods, later going on to race cars. His passion for cars stayed with him throughout life. Roger had an unconventional, storied life. He enjoyed fine dining, traveling and visiting casinos around the world, often meeting politicians, dignitaries and celebrities along the way.
As the president and founding father of Master Craft Finishers in Deer Park established in 1969, his business acumen was unmatched. He relished everything about business, from networking right down to sharing his business wisdom with other entrepreneurs.
Many people referred to Roger as the “World’s Most Interesting Man” because of his vast knowledge of history, politics, business and many other subjects. He had a personality like no other, impossible to forget. His tough exterior was sometimes off-putting, but to those that knew him best, his loyalty, kindness and generosity was legendary.
Roger was blessed with countless lifelong friends that were like family to him and he treasured those friendships dearly. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, beloved sister Viola and brother Steven. He is survived by his adoring sister Doris Adriaenssens, daughter Kelly Fox-Galvagni and son-in-law Rich Galvagni, grandson Brian Fox, cousins Jay and Cindy Adriaenssens, Doreen and Frank Krupski, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
