85 years old of Lindenhurst, NY passed away peacefully on 3/16/2023 surrounded by his loving family..

Devoted husband to his loving wife Maureen Kelly since March 23, 2013.

Predeceased by his late wife Elizabeth (d. 2004)

Devoted father of Catherine (Ken), Martin, and Elaine (Bill).

Loving grandfather of Sean, Leanne, Patrick, Jennifer, Julia and Alex.

Cherished brother of Sister Maria Martin Finn.

Predeceased by his father Thomas Finn, mother Gertrude Finn; and siblings Thomas, Gerard and Anne.

Proud to be called Uncle Marty and a friend to so many!

Marty loved spending time with his blended family members, Kevin & Karen (Logan & Owen), Timmy & Sue (Sean & Krissy), Michael & Brenda, John & Suzanne (Jaqueline), Kathy & Drew (Meghan, Brendan & Andrew).

Proud American and fortunate enough to be born on Flag Day,he always respectfully displayed the American Flag..Proud of his Irish Catholic heritage as a second generation Irish American. His father immigrated from Galway and his mother’s mother came from Waterford, Ireland.

Retired in 2001 from a long career in the telephone communication industry. Long standing President of the Telephone and Communication Workers Emerald Society for 27 years. Also an active member of the Babylon Ancient Order of Hibernians. and the Knights of Columbus.

Martin loved to spend time with his extended family and friends at weddings, birthdays and barbeques. He recently celebrated his 85th Birthday with 100 guests! His favorite event was marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in NYC for over 40 years together with his friends and family. Great memories for all!

Rest peacefully dear husband, father, uncle and friend. . We all miss you!

A visitation for Martin will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 W Main St, Babylon, New York 11702. A visitation will occur Monday, March 20, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, 448 W Main St, Babylon, New York 11702. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Ave, West Islip, New York 11795. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 12:15 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
