Joe was a classmate of mine in high school.
He was always willing to help out. I just found out about his passing. 
Joe will be in my prayers tonight.

We thought of you in love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that, too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. Now all we have is memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.

What a magnificent man. The light inside you always shining bright onto others. Your warm and loving way will continue to shine onto us daily. I find peace in knowing you are with your father and your beautiful wife Colleen. Reunited in Eternity.

Joey-A dear and special person. You are a great person that always made us laugh and smile. When we hung out with you and Colleen, we were always in for a good time. It was back in September 1982, as a young nervous staff accountant, that I first met Joe and the family. The in-charge accountant Jeff asked why I was so nervous and I sheepishly explained that this was the first account I was being assigned to in my young career. He said there was nothing to worry about, these are the Sweeney's. You'll feel like you're among family. It was with that simple statement that a lifelong friendship began with Joe and the family. Through the years our friendship grew closer as Joe took on more responsibility for Park Ave and worked my way up in the firm. We would meet weekly at times analyzing margins, product spreads, evaluating future contracts, etc. We would exchange ideas and I always learned something new about the business. Joe's quiet demeanor earned the respect of his co-workers and employees. Lead by example, be true to yourself and don't be afraid to smile and laugh is the best way I can describe my buddy. You're finally at peace after one of the most valiant battles I've ever seen anyone have. Enjoy a toast with Colleen and "Big Al". I'll miss you.
