James Moran Gray IV, beloved son, brother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the age of 25. James was a laid-back and relaxed individual who brought warmth to everyone around him.
James was born on May 20th, 1999 in West Islip. He was known for his easygoing nature and his love for the simple pleasures in life. He had a deep affection for animals and was particularly devoted to his pets; Chicken, Biscuit, and Luna, often finding solace and happiness in their company. An avid bike rider, James found peace and exhilaration on his rides, exploring new trails and enjoying the outdoors. He also had a passion for fantasy football, often engaging in lively discussions and friendly competition with friends and family. As a devoted fan, James followed the Giants and the Yankees with unwavering enthusiasm, celebrating their victories and sharing in their challenges.
James is survived by his loving parents, Carol and James, and his cherished brother, Thomas; Aunts and Uncles: Liz and John Plate, Tom Gordon and Lillian Lees, Susan and Kenny Scalfani; Godfather: Bobby Johnson (and family); Cousins: Jonathan Plate, Allison Considine, Sara Gordon, Thomas Gordon, Carl Scalfani, Isabella Scalfani, Bobby Lass, Joey Visone; Great Cousin: Annie Considine, Bliss Visone; God Daughter: Raelynn Manragh. His loss is deeply felt by his family and friends, who will remember him for his kind spirit, genuine laughter, and the joy he brought into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Babylon Animal Shelter and Long Island Crisis center reflecting James's spirit of giving and love.
James’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
