William Denny Parker was born on June 5, 1945 at an Army hospital converted from the five star Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida to Captain William Lucien Parker and Esther Edwards Parker. William was called home to his Heavenly Father on April 28, 2021. He fully accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during his years of studying Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1968.
William began his professional career in Austin, Texas before leaving in August of 1971 for New York City to pursue his passion of singing, music and the performing arts. William arrived on a Wednesday, interviewed on a Friday, and began work the following Monday for Architects Robert A.M. Stern and John Hagmann. “Making it” in NYC didn’t seem so difficult for William. He continued achieving in both passions and in May of 1985 during a lone trip to Paris, he met and fell in love with Frederique Moinard. The couple married a few months later in Paris.
New York City and Battery Park was the first home for the couple and following a harrowing cab ride to Columbia Presbyterian on East 68th Street, their precious Camille Moinard Parker was born on January 22, 1988. After a turn pursuing professional opportunities and enjoying family back in Paris, William, Frederique and Camille moved to Austin, TX and made the city their lifetime home in 1993.
While in Austin, William maintained his love of music and the arts while pursuing a career in Architecture and Interior Design. William never met a stranger and soon became a staple with the Actors Equity, in the neighborhood, many social settings and within the religious community.
