William (Bill) leaves behind his loving wife, Angela and his daughter, Valerie Bracken-Dykes and her husband, Tim Dykes. As well as a younger sister, Nancy (Bracken) Fink. Bill's life was full of many family and friends that loved and respected him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Barney) and Beulah.
Bill was born in Johnstown, PA but soon after left with his mother to Germany to be united with his father (who was in the US army) and there he graduated from high school. He joined the US Army and lived in Paris, France. Later he joined the Foreign Service and lived in Senegal, Africa. He returned home got a degree from Kansas State University and after a well-planned career path, he became a Corporate Financial Executive for 25 years in various companies such as GE, Dell, Pepsico International, and Pharmaco among others; these positions led him to live in various locations throughout the US and Mexico. Bill called Austin, TX home for the last 34 years where he started his own wealth management company, Integra Asset Advisors, and helped many individuals and families for 19 years until he sold his business to his partner. He loved to travel and visited every place on his bucket list which included 6 continents more than once.
Bill was always learning about something new. As a young man he was involved in Boy Scouts of America and was proud of earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He had a passion for music, art, reading and researching. He loved new technology and learning how to best use it to his advantage. He was a wonderful teacher and would generously share his time and knowledge with family and friends.
To honor Bill's memory, a service will be held at Weed Corley Fish (Parkcrest) Funeral Home on June 25, 2024 at 2:00PM.
The family is deeply indebted to Hospice Austin's Christopher House's staff and nurses and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice Austin and Christopher House in Bill's memory.
