Wanda Jo Weybrew Euwer, age 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 25, 2020 due to renal failure. She was born in Wamego, Kansas and graduated from Wamego High School in 1956. Wanda attended Kansas State University. When she moved to Kansas City she met the love of her life and best friend Harold Euwer. They married in 1958. They briefly lived in Chicago and then by the late 1960’s they had moved to Austin, Texas.
Wanda loved animals and cared for many dogs and cats over the years. She expertly created many lovely cross stitch projects. She was active with charities and professional organizations, such as DPMA and the Service Dog Project. She worked for the City of Austin 10 years. She also worked for St. David’s Hospital for over twenty years and in 2000 she retired as their Chief Information Officer.
She shared many barbeques and holidays at their home with her family. She enjoyed all the kids swimming in the pool, or watching grazing deer near sunset. Wanda (Memaw) was preceded by her parents Neil and Waneta Weybrew, and her sister Penny. Wanda in death is survived by her brother Steve and his wife Anne and their children and grandchildren, her husband Harold, with their son Brian and wife Glori, son Ned and wife Beverly. Wanda also had 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She loved them and she will be missed by all.
