She was born in Austin, TX on September 22, 1962 to Rolland and Mary Lou Lawson. She had a daughter, Jessica Suzanne, on May 1, 1979. She was married to Kerry Graham on February 14, 1997.
Tyra was a very talented artist. She created beautiful jewelry, eclectic mosaic pieces, and crocheted many warm scarves and hats for the people she loved. She will live on through her loved ones and all the beautiful artwork she created. Many will miss her warm smile, infectious laugh, and giving heart. She loved music and danced to it every chance she got.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ty Allen Lawson, her grandmother Louise Cooper, and her father Rolland Lawson.
She is survived by her mother Mary Lou Lawson; her husband Kerry Barlow Graham; her daughter Jessica Suzanne Graham; her granddaughter Keiran Alece McKinstry; her siblings Tony Lawson, Troy Lawson and Teri Alece Davidson; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, cousins and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on what would have been her 48th birthday, September 22, 2010 at 1pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar.
