Timothy Conrad Wray (Timmy) of Kyle, Texas tragically passed away on Thursday June 6th 2024 at the age of 52. He was born on December 12th, 1971 in Boiling Springs, NC where he grew up. He graduated from Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma in with a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering and an Associates in Computer Sciences. Timmy was a Sergeant in the US Army and worked as Chaplain's Assistant. He then went on to have a career with Travis County Juvenile Detention in the IT Department. He was actively involved in Powerhouse of Praise Christian Fellowship Center.
Timmy was always the life of the room, and he was a Karaoke King! He could absolutely sing and play the piano by ear. Timmy was an avid PC gamer, and a true techie. He had finally got his dream PC only 18 months prior. He loved the Lord, his family and friends and was obedient and a true servant of the Lord. Being a part of the Powerhouse of Praise Choir was something he immensely enjoyed and certainly was passionate about.
In the past 12 months he has been seriously considering starting the journey on becoming a Pastor, with the past three months becoming quite serious about it. He has been praying hard about this and applying himself. He was excited to get to heaven, to meet the Lord and was quite vocal about it. The plan first though was that he was excited to be planning a trip to Australia to spend time with his in laws. This was important to both him and Ellen.
Timmy is preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Louise Withrow Wray; sister, Deborah Bristol; brother, Bryan Wray; brother in law, Roy Shelton, and sister in law, Samantha Wray.
Timmy is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ellen Wray; daughters, Ariel Wray, Cassandra Wray, Kitana Wray, and son, Lewis McLauth. His five grandchildren, Ezra Wray, Juliana Wray, Forrest Wright, Lettie Wray, and Wyatt Wright. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Withrow, Raymond Wray (Leanne), Ricky Wray, Kevin Wray, and Eric Wray (Sherri); and sisters, Connie Wray, Sydney Wray and Felecia Shelton (wife of Roy); brothers in law, Sonny Bristol (husband of Deborah); Peter Sorensen, and Erkan Beyaz; sisters in law, Nadine Garland and Sharon Sorensen; and father in law, Kurt Anderson Sorensen.
Timmy's family would like to thank the Kyle Police Department, Seton Hays and Dignity Memorial for the care and compassion they showed Timmy in his final days. We would like to thank everyone who honored our family with all the acts of kindness, love and support bestowed on us during this time. It will always be remembered and appreciated.
