Brother Thomas McCullough, C.S.C. Brother Thomas McCullough, a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross, South-West Province, passed away in Austin, TX, Sunday, October 17, 2004. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Brother Thomas lived 47 of his 82 years as a Brother of Holy Cross. Brother Thomas taught at St. Edwards University for over forty years until his retirement in 1999. He was a professor of chemistry. Demanding as a teacher and kind in his manner, he used his many interests outside of the classroom to support mission work. A determined walker, he was a familiar sight around Austin. During WWII, Brother Thomas served in the U.S. Army in Europe and Japan. Brother Thomas is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, George McCullough and Patricia McCullough of Flagstaff, AZ, and their children John, Mark, Marjorie and Timothy; his brother and sister-in-law, William and Valerie McCullough of Loveland, CO, and their daughters, Claire McCullough, Sharon Sabin, Eileen McCullough and Kathryn Pitten. Honorary pall bearers for Brother Thomas are his brothers and two close friends since high school, David Lueker of Ft. Collins, CO, and David Fordyce of Ogden, UT. The wake service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel on the campus of St. Edwards University on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held in the same chapel on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
