I'm 10 years late, but just now hearing this and I'm shocked. Thomas was one of my favorite professors at ACC, and I can't believe he's gone. Condolences to all of his friends and family, and fellow former students.

I've only known him for a few months, but he really grew on me. He was a great professor, and a great man. My prayers are with his soul and his family.

The CLAS department of Texas State University, where Tom was a doctoral student, send our heartfelt condolences to all his friends and family. May you all find strength in your fond memories.

Tom was one of the brightest and most ethical people I have known. He was a source of comfort and joy for all the time I knew him. He was a great student, a thoughtful scholar, a caring government worker, a considerate teacher, and a wonderful friend.

I will remember Tom as a student who in my meetings with him truly relished a lively discussion of theory, often ending with a check-in about our pets. I will remember him most as I saw him last less than two weeks ago--in my office with Wendy at this side--glowing in pride for Wendy's impending graduation.

Tom was an amzing giving neighbor. I only wich we could of spent more time together.

I worked with Tom for several years when he was at Regulatory Services. Tom was a fine man and I always appreciated his sense of humor. We shared a love for dogs and I was glad to see the photos of Tom with his beloved dogs in the albumn.

The Beauty in Life 
We strode through the field and through the flowers;
With my hands stretched out, I felt the roses;
They think they are best, and rise like towers,
But their strength is small, as one exposes.
In spring and summer, or through life and death;
These are the cycles in which we're given.
They take our time, like an unforeseen theft,
And shaping the ways our lives are driven.
We blow gently across flower's petals;
Freeing dandelion snow to take root,
Drifting until it once again settles;
With caution, we watch where we put our boot.
