She was born in Seattle Washington on January 8, 1959 and grew up in and around Chicago, Illinois before moving to Austin in the mid-1970's. She completed a Bachelor's Degree of Liberal Studies from St. Edward's University, graduating with honors in May, 1992 with emphasis on English Writing. She wrote in journals all of her life, chronicling her observations and experiences, her hopes and dreams as life unfolded around, and because of her. She was also a gifted artist who worked commercially for multiple employers including the one she was most proud of, Chatleff Controls, in Buda, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, John Ohlinger, son Sean Ohlinger, daughter Paige (Cooper) Peschong and her husband Thomas and granddaughter Rebekah, and one "adopted" son Vincent Wauson. Also surviving are her parents Raymond and Carolyn Henderson and brother Randall Henderson, his wife Cecelia along with nephew and nieces Ian, Meaghan and Shannon. Preceding her in death is her beloved nephew, son of Randall and Cecelia, Raymond Colin Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Funeral services will be in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel on Friday April 12th, at 9:30 am followed by a brief graveside service at the family ranch in Lockhart, Texas.
