Sandra Lynne Speir

Sandra Lynne "Sandy" Speir, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 12, 1951, in Kenedy, Texas, Sandy was a cherished member of her community, known for her warmth and kindness.

Sandy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary Ann Steele and Harvey Mergele, and her devoted husband, Sam Speir. Her legacy continues through her children, Johnnie Wedgworth, Stacy Presley, Amy Wedgworth, Corey Speir, and Kelli Chaney, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Sandy was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She is survived by her dear sisters, Patsy and Katy, who shared countless cherished moments with her. Sandy's life was further enriched by her lifelong friendships with Beulah and Paula, who stood by her side through thick and thin.

Sandy's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and love during this difficult time. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731.
