Anna Ruth Wolfe, of Marble Falls, Texas passed away August 14, 2013 after a brief illness. Ruth was born in Austin, TX on February 6, 1913 to Walter and Jennie Mosteller. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter, Morris, Clyde and Curtis, her sisters Cornelia Kennedy and Alice Williams. Ruth was also preceded in death by husband Ralph Leslie Wolfe, son-in-law Bill McCann and grandson Trent McCann.
She is survived by daughter Icia Belle Wolfe, Ginger McCann and Novalee Wolfe; grandsons Trey, Todd Tere McCann, Wally Coburn and Troy Sarnoski, 13 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
After graduating from high school, Ruth attended the University of Texas where she met her husband. They both became school teachers in Liberty Hill, Texas and later they started Wolfe Plant Co. Ruth was a long time member of Hyde Park Christian Church.
Pall bearers are grandsons Trey, Todd, Tere McCann, Wally Coburn, Troy Sarnoski and great grandson Max and Mason McCann. Honorary Pallbearers are Clay and Mitch McCann, sons of Trent.
In February we celebrated Ruth’s 100th birthday which was a very happy occasion. We are blessed to have had her for so many years.
A funeral service will be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 19th of August 2013, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas.
Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
