Royce Wallace Zoch, 79 of Austin, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012, after battling cancer and other health problems for over 20 years. He was born near La Grange, TX, on September 24, 1932 to Walter and Gertrude (Lorenz) Zoch. On November 5, 1955, he married Clara (Miertschin) Zoch.
Royce served in the US Military during the Korean conflict and retired from Texaco after 32 years of service. Royce was a long-time, active member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Austin, where he served on the Boards of Elders and Trustees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gertrude Zoch, and his daughter, Caryn Zoch Neumann.
Royce is survived by his wife, Clara and their children – daughter Patricia and husband Ed Bullock, Jr. of Kyle, son Ron and wife Cyndy of La Grange, son Darryl and wife Becky of Evansville, IN, son-in-law, Fred Neumann V of Austin and brother, Frank and wife Shirley of Hot Springs Village, AR. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brenden Bullock, Trista Bullock, Katherine Neumann, Amanda (Zoch) and husband Cory Knox, Megan Zoch, Jacob Zoch, Morgan Zoch and Matthew Zoch and step-grandchildren Kyle Hudson and Emily Hudson, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the
14th of August, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
