The youngest of thirteen children, Ronnie was born on August 07, 1964 in Rockdale, TX to Ulesly Conner and Dorothy Richards. A big-hearted man, Ronnie always provided a listening ear and gave good advice, especially to his nieces and nephews. He was known as a genuinely funny person who enjoyed a little Whitney Houston, a little Clark Sisters—and a lot of San Diego Chargers. He enjoyed being around others and was profoundly dedicated to his positions at the Brown Schools, Travis State School, Austin State Hospital, and Smith Security. Hardworking to a fault, he hardly ever called in to work—Ronnie always showed up whenever he was needed.
He will be missed and is survived by beloved mother Dorothy Richards, his brothers Ulesly Conner, R.B. Conner, and Billy Ray Conner, sisters Laura Mitchell, Elizabeth Freeman, Patsy Conner, and Marilyn Conner, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he adored, and whom all loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ulesly Conner; brother, Clifford Conner; sisters Dorothy Alexander, Barbara Conner, and Lessie Mitchell, a niece Wanda Mitchell, and nephews Julian Charles Mitchell and Derrick Kennie.
A Celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 6th, 2019, at The Cambridge Villas Apartments clubhouse located at 15711 Dessau Rd in Pflugerville, TX 78660.
“I’ve got an angel with me in my sleep.
Watching over me and my soul to keep.
I’ve got an angel looking after me.
Going to and fro, waiting on me.”
—Clark Sisters from the song “I’ve Got An Angel”
