Ron’s love of beauty and nature lead him to become an accomplished painter.

Ron spent the bulk of his career as an Architect for the City of Austin Public Works Department in the Architectural Management Division where he worked until his retirement. His professional skills contributed to the construction of many buildings and facilities for the City of Austin. For example, Ron developed the prototype design for fire stations which has been used to build many Austin Fire Department facilities. One of his greatest achievements was as project manager for the construction of Austin City Hall, built in 2004 on the shores of Lady Bird Lake.
