Raul B Buitron, 72, of Austin, Texas, passed away, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home with his family. Raul had a long year and a half battle with gastric cancer. He was a very strong and courageous man until the very end.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, the eighteenth of October at Weed-Corley- Fish, 2620 S.Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704.
Raul was born January 13, 1942 in Bastrop, Texas to Teodosio and Maria Buitron. On September 22, 1964 he married his wife and best friend Obdulia (Obie) Cantu. Raul was employed as a truck driver and was one of the safest drivers on the road. He was a hard worker and only retired a few years prior to his passing. Raul was a wonderful father and friend. Raul always had jokes and a humor that will never be forgotten. In his spare time, Raul loved gardening, listening to music, and watching the San Francisco 49ers win or lose.
Raul is survived by his three daughters, Monique Buitron and her husband Tom Aiken of Austin, TX, Veronica Buitron-Camacho and her husband Rodrigo Camacho of Austin, TX, and Corinna Buitron of Lansing, MI; best friend, Mia Ramon; his sisters, Connie Flores of Austin, TX, Neomi Delgado of Austin, TX, and Orfalinda Pena, of Bay City,MI, Benita Estrada of Saginaw, Mi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Teodosio & Maria Buitron, siblings, Elizabeth Torres, Linda Estrada, Rebecca Delgado; brothers, Benjamin Mendoza, Emilio Buitron, Adan Buitron, and his daughter, Michelle Buitron. Raul had numerous nieces and nephews he loved and cherished very much.
