Ola "Geri" Geraldine Perry-Stone

Ola Geraldine (Geri) Perry Stone left this world Sunday morning, May 21st and is now with the angels in the hands of our Savior Jesus Christ. Geri lived a full life at 94 and was a few weeks from celebrating her 95th birthday. Born in Creedmore, Texas, Geri lived her entire life in Austin.

Geri is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Stone (Stoney), her beloved son, William Randell Wallin (Randy) and mother Annie Holder Perry, Father Fred Edward Perry; and Siblings: T. Eldred Perry, Hazel Mae Perry Lock, V. Grace Perry Smith, Ethel A. Perry Irvine, Fred Jr. E. Perry and Leonard H. Perry. Survived by grandsons William Brandon Wallin, wife Jadira, Robert Wallin, beautiful great granddaughters Abigail Stone Wallin and Aubrie Pearl Wallin.

Geri worked in the pharmaceutical industry early on and truly loved playing softball in the women's Austin leagues. Geri opened and operated Honey Bear, a children’s clothing boutique on South Lamar in the 70’s. She enjoyed driving to the Dallas market to purchase inventory for her store. After closing Honey Bear, husband Stoney and Geri purchased and managed several rental properties in South Austin and enjoyed spending weekends at their lake house. Their travels took them to many parts of the world. Geri cherished and honored men and women who served our country especially through the eyes of her husband Stoney who served as a pilot in the Air Force. After Stoney passed, Geri enjoyed spending time with neighbors, Hector & Betsy Aguirre, and Judy & Johnny Harbor. Geri enjoyed playing video poker and on one trip to Las Vegas with Hector & Betsy, Geri hit a Royal Flush at the Bellagio Casino. In her last years, Geri enjoyed her time gardening and watching all types of birds feeding on her patio.
