Nancy Louise Crum (nee Blaha), age 90, of Austin, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024. She graduated High School in Crafton, PA in 1952 and went on to get a degree from Penn State University. She met her future husband Art Crum Jr in the 7th grade and joined him in marriage in 1956. The next 30 years would take her around the globe as a military spouse. Along the way she had four children, all of whom were her pride and joy. She loved being a stay at home mom and raising her children, driving them to their many activities and always being a supportive, caring mother.
After retirement she and Art traveled and cruised to many places, often visiting with the many friends they made in the military. After Art’s passing she was a fixture at the Dell Jewish Community Center gym, where she would make many friends.
Nancy was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there when needed, offering support, wisdom and most of all love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Nancy is survived by her cherished son Art Crum III; her cherished son Ed Crum; and her beloved daughter Erin Harper; her sister Patty Daly. She also leaves behind 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild to cherish her memories.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Art Crum Jr; her beloved daughter Julie Wills.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78752. A visitation will occur Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731.
