12, 2021, after a short battle with COVID-19.
Mike McAnally was born on September 26, 1942 to Claude “Bud” and Billie McAnally. Mike
graduated from Iraan High School in 1960 and was valedictorian of his class. Mike pursued
and obtained both a bachelors and master’s degree in Physics from North Texas University.
After college, Mike pursued a career working at technology companies for 32 years before
shifting his focus to working in family business. Where for the next 16 years, Mike was able to
spend time with his bonus son, Mitch Bledsoe.
Mike enjoyed spending time with family, the outdoors and golf. Mike enjoyed snow skiing for
20+ years with lifelong friends as well as water skiing and fishing with his family and
friends. His true passion was golf where he started playing at the young age of 5. Through
this love for golf, he was able to develop many lifelong relationships including the one with Jim
Ward, who started as caddie for Mike when he was 15 years old. Because of his love and
patience for the game of golf, he was richly rewarded with a hole in one, not once but twice
during his lifetime. One of Mike’s biggest accomplishments was being a father and “Papa”. He
loved his children and grandchildren and considered himself lucky to have them. He was always
there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to
offer.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeanette McAnally, and his brother Doug McAnally. He
is also survived by, his daughter Karolyn Meuth and children Andrew Wallace, Matthew Wallace
and Trey Wallace. His son Brett McAnally and children Anthony Steward, Nick Woodyard,
Emalee McAnally and Jake McAnally. His son Daren Smith, and youngest daughter Suzy
McAnally and her children Ally Anderson, Hannah Anderson and Doak Anderson. He is also
survived by his loving family in laws and numerous nieces and nephews. He dearly loved each of
them. Mike is also survived by his loving precious fur baby Pippa.
Mike was preceded in death by both his parents, Bud and Billie McAnally, his sister, Toby Ward,
and his brother, Terry McAnally.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor Mike’s legacy. Additional
details will come when it’s safe to get everyone together as Mike would desire.
