Our beloved mother and grandmother peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2011. She was born January 10, 1920 in Austin, Texas and was a proud lifelong resident of South Austin. Through her selfless devotion to others, wise counsel and deep Christian faith she shaped the lives of her children and later generations of her family.
She is preceded in death by first husband Otis Pannell and second husband Don Freitag, parents Seth and Freida Sullivan, two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by daughter Kathy Lott and husband Leon, and sons James Pannell and wife Cynthia, Jerrell Pannell and wife Marcia, and Donnie Freitag and wife Jonell and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs of Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Christopher House for the loving care and kindness shown to Mary.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Burial at Austin Memorial Park.
