Margery Rich Sumrall passed through to the arms of her lord on August 31, 2021, after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was 84 years and 5 days old. Her loved ones, will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest with devotion to their families and friends.
She was born on a Wednesday at 8:00 o'clock the night of August 25th, 1937 in St Josephs' Hospital in Houston, Texas to James Lee Rich and Eleda Amelia Maria Macchi Rich.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clinton H. Sumrall. Daughters Giselle Kinsell, Lisa Campbell, and Allison Spence and step- daughter Pat Osborn Howe. Sons-in-law(s) David Kinsell, Tony Galvan, Bud Campbell, and Allen Spence. Eight grandchildren Jennifer Galvan and Hector Pena, Daniel Storey, Amanda Soto and Juan Soto, Audra Spence, Jessica Beebe and Ryan Beebe, Karri Spence, Stephanie Jackson and Charley Jackson, and Hayden Blecha.
She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren Serena Pena, Siera Pena, Jayden Soto, Cy Soto, Avalyn Beebe, Kase Soto, Maddox Font, Tobias Jackson, Matilda Beebe and Elias Jackson. She will be carried forth perpetually in our memories and in the minds of her future decedents.
Preceded in death by her son Dirk Lee Sumrall, (2021) her sisters Barbara Lee Rich (2020) and Doris Martin (2016), her brother-in -law Jeff Martin (2006) and her parents. Also her beloved chihuahua Pogo, her poodle Etta, miniature schnauzer Macy and her cats Minerva and Baby.

A visitation for Margery will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A memorial service will occur Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A reception will occur Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
