Marcia Dorene Anderson

Born on March 13, 1925 to Susie and Ivan West in Beaukiss, TX. Marcia graduated from Thrall High School on May 24, 1943. In her senior yearbook one of her close friends wrote how she always loved a man in uniform. She married that man and the love of her life on March 6th, 1947 and to their union 3 children were born. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. All of which have great memories of her. A lifelong resident of Austin, Texas, she had a strong work ethic working full time until she was 85 years old, all in the medical field.

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Bill of 52 years, her parents; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Buddy and wife Cindi; daughter Dana Randig and husband Walter and daughter Cindy Thomason. She had 8 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly and always looked forward to their visits.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th, 2014 between 6 and 8 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752. Services will be held at Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 with entombment to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
