Beloved husband and father, Edward Luke McNicholas of Buda, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 47. Luke was born on August 5, 1974 and raised in Austin, Texas. He graduated from James Bowie High School in 1992. Luke was employed by the Texas State Preservation Board.
Luke was a loving husband and devoted father, he enjoyed spending time with his family, family pets, friends, hanging out with his buddies, and watching sports. Luke’s main passion started roughly 20 years ago and that was teaching his son Austin the game of baseball. Luke always said his most important thing was his workouts with Austin because he believed that Austin had the possibility of becoming a special ball player. He never let work, a busy life or even holidays get in the way of their work outs. Luke was always so proud of his son’s accomplishments, from numerous baseball accolades to more importantly a recent graduation from college.
Luke is survived by his loving wife Sylvia, son Austin, his father Pat McNicholas and wife Peggy, sister Tanya McNicholas and brother Sean McNicholas and son Colton, his mother-in-law Paula Perez and husband Pedro, father-in-law Jesse Duran and wife Angie, brother-in-law Roland Duran and wife Moraima, sister-in-law Jessica Machado and husband Victor, brother-in-law Leonard Flores and wife Monica. Luke is also survived by many other family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Luke was preceded in death by his Mother Nancy Sue McNicholas, Grandparents Robert and Golda O’Brien and grandparents Edward Luke and Virgina McNicholas.
The Family will receive family and friends February 2, 2022 at a Memorial service for Luke at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home from 6:00pm – 8pm. Funeral home located at 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704.
