Linde Luise Soderquist

Linde Luise Hays Soderquist, died May 23, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1956. In 1975, Linde joined the Army and served with great pride until 1978. After the Army, Linde worked for the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Texas for 21 wonderful years. Preceded in death by her father, Harold Hays, Jr. and her grandparents, Hedwig and Franz Purkert and Nelly and Harold Hays. Survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Mrs. Robert Chilton) and Mary Beth; her mother, Elisabeth (Mrs. Richard Townsend); two brothers, Richard of Columbia, MO and Frank (Dawn) of Killeen; three step-sisters, Brenda Townsend, Janice (Mrs. Bart Williamson), and Lorrie (Mrs. Mark Forrest) and two step-brothers, Brad and his wife Kathy and Richard and his wife Carol; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Joyce Shepherd, Donna Jo Green and Carolyn Miller. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice Austin or the American Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer Research.
