Kerby Lee Kale, 45, passed away in his sleep on November 4, 2016. Kerby was born April 9, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas. He resided in San Antonio and Floresville throughout his life, moving to Round Rock after marrying the love of his life in 2011.
Kerby graduated from East Central High School in San Antonio and attended San Antonio College until leaving to work in the family business, W.H. Kale Trucking. After working in the office, Kerby decided to travel the country as a truck driver for a period of time, eventually settling into a career in sales. He sold Fords for Gillespie (San Antonio), Ancira (Floresville) and Covert (Austin). When his youngest daughter was born in 2015, Kerby decided to become a stay-at-home dad. They had 18 wonderful months together.
Kerby was best known for his sense of humor. He laughed loudly and often, and wanted others to do the same. He was a fiercely-dedicated friend, and had many friendships that spanned decades. He had a love of all types of music, and spending time dove hunting at his family property in Floresville. Kerby was a dedicated husband, and most proud of his three children. He loved spending time with them and the rest of the family.
Kerby is proceeded in death by his mother, Linda Kale Rauschuber, and grandparents, Jubilee and W.H. Kale. He is survived by his wife, Rebeca; his children, Kody Lee, Kaileigh Jubilee and Bethany Grace Kale; sister, Tiffany Morris (Mark) and nieces, Madelynn and Juliet Morris; aunts, Sheila Marshall (Dennis), Dolores Hayter (Johnny) and Karen Kale; cousins, Steven and Aaron Brickey. Kerby is also survived by parents-in-law, Richard and Grace Waters and brother-in-law, David Waters.
Kerby's life celebration will occur Saturday, November 19th at 2 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218.
