Hunter is survived by his two amazing sons, Mason Connor and Cody Clark Lutringer; his sister, Stephanie Lutringer; wonderful niece and nephew, Madison and Parker; father-in-law and mother-in-law Tommie, Jr. and Connie Tarvin; stand-in mom/Auntie K - Kathy Lawrence; and special extended East Texas family, including his Uncle Donny and Aunt Carol Riley, cousins Stacy and Miguel Garcia and Tracy and Jason Nichols. He leaves behind so many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.
Hunter grew up in Austin, Texas. From a young age, he could be found on the soccer fields. He played travel soccer and was a member of the Lonestar Soccer Club. He attended McCallum High School in Austin, Texas where he continued his love for soccer and played football. He had many friends and a lot of fun, but his mom and dad always made sure he stayed focused and had a place to run off all his extra energy. After graduating from high school in 2008 he attended Benedictine College in Kansas, playing collegiate soccer. He went on to join the Army, following in the footsteps of his Grandfather A.W. Lutringer and Uncle Michael Lawrence.
Hunter served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was an infantryman serving in imminent danger areas. He enlisted on April 25, 2011 and served 4 years, 6 months of active duty including foreign services of 8 months in the Afghanistan Campaign and 9 months in Iraq in the Global War on Terrorism. He was stationed stateside at Fort Bliss in El Paso and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Hunter married the love of his life, Lillie, on September 20, 2014. He was honorably discharged on April 1, 2016. After missing the birth of their first son while in Iraq, he was excited to rejoin the civilian world and spend the rest of his life with Lillie, raising their sons in East Texas. He wanted to share with them his wildly adventurous spirit, love for the outdoors, and deer hunting that was handed down from his dad at a very young age.
Hunter was a managing partner for Arbor Resources, LLC for 8 years where he worked alongside his wife, Lillie. While at Arbor Resources he helped to grow the company and the team. He acted as General Manager and Arborist while coordinating an unlimited number of projects with large utility companies. He was greatly respected by his customers and his employees. He led his team on restoration efforts during numerous hurricanes, storms, and the unforgettable Texas ice storm of 2021. He was the life of the company and never left home without his Arbor Resources cap.
Hunter was a big UT Longhorn Fan and shared his love for sports with the boys, quickly becoming one of their biggest fans. He served as a volunteer, coaching their youth soccer and baseball teams. Hunter could easily be found on the sideline or by the dugout coaching with his favorite team mom, Lillie, by his side. They both also enjoyed family RV trips with their boys. Whatever adventure Lillie could dream up, Hunter was always ready!
