Joshua White, 28, of Austin Texas was taken away from us much too soon on Tuesday morning October 2nd. Joshua lived his life with an open heart and a passion for helping others. As a bodhisattva, he led a life of unconditional loving-kindness for all beings. He loved the outdoors, meditated daily, was an amazing poet with a beautiful voice, and had a passion for music. He was a loving friend to so many people, and the light he shone on our lives is a gift, everlasting.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Debbie White, his sister Cassie, his brother Garrett, his niece and nephew Abbie and Jackson, his grandmother Sunee Sax, his grandmother and grandfather Bonnie and Charlie Conner, his uncle David Sax, his aunt Michelle Duckworth, his cousins Devin and Cody Duckworth, his uncle Howard Duckworth, his uncle and aunt Chris and Deanna White, his cousin Brandon White, his uncle Mike White, his aunt and uncle Debbie and Jim Forestello , his cousins Nicole, Jordan, Austin, and Chase Forestello and countless numbers of friends who were truly a part of his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 6th at Eilers Park at 401 Deep Eddy Avenue. The service will begin at 4:00 p.m. We want to encourage people to carpool- there is a parking lot but it may be limited. People are also encouraged to bring blankets to sit on although there will be some seating available. Immediately following the memorial service, we will be having a (pot-luck) celebration to honor Joshua’s life and passion for friends, music, and beans in the spirit of “bean night” at 419 Malabar in Lakeway. All stories, voices and instruments are welcome! Feel free to bring a candle to light in Joshua’s honor.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Josh's passion for music, the family requests that donations be made to the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), P.O. Box 301496, Austin, TX 78703-0025, phone: (512) 322-5177, Fax: (512) 324-3415 or by visiting www.myhaam.org.
