Ong Noi,  

On behalf of my family I write these words to express our everlasting gratitude toward you.  I honestly never imagined I’d have to say goodbye to you. You are my hero, and I guess selfishly I thought we would be able to keep you to ourselves forever. I see now that God had other plans, I may not understand why but I hope you will be happy with Ba Noi and Ba ut looking down and watching over all of us from heaven.  Ong Noi , you have created a whole legacy, not a  single one  of us would be here if it were not for you. We feel honored and privileged to have been your son , your daughter, your grandchildren, and your great grandchildren.  You have always shown us tough love , but it was the most unconditional form of love a man can offer. I want you to know and to understand that you are just as loved. I am so thankful for the memories you have given me. You are and will always remain a key part of all of our lives. I feel so incredibly blessed that I had you as my Ong Noi, the best grandpa any one can ask for . I am even more thankful that I was able to live so close to you. Ong Noi, from the bottom of my heart , Thank you for always being just a call away. I will never be able to thank you enough for what you have done for my family. I will always remember you drinking wine with me :), singing karaoke, building literally anything and everything from just your bare hands, getting on your last nerve because I couldn’t stop buying so many dogs, and most importantly just sitting down and having a meal with you; I think those are my most precious memories with you.  You are the most amazing , hardworking father , husband , and grandpa, you loved grandma with your whole heart and you have always cherished your children  and grandchildren every single last one of us.  We love and miss you so so much .  “With the gift of years comes the treasure of knowing that there are many who love you dearly.”  We will always remember you Ong Noi , forever in our hearts! 

Thư gửi Ba Kính Yêu

Ba vô vàn kính yêu của con.  Hồng Ân tuyệt vời nhất của con là được sinh ra và làm con gái của ba.  Ba luôn là điểm tựa tinh thần mạnh nhất trong đời con.  Dù cuộc sống có bao nhiêu bão tố chông gai, chỉ cần gọi điện thoại, nghe tiếng của ba, con sẽ lại ổn thôi.  Những lúc con đuối sức và giảm sút tinh thần, con lại lấy xe, chạy về thăm ba, là con như được nạp thêm năng lượng.

Vì là con gái nên ba luôn lo lắng cho tương lai của con.  Ba dạy rằng, là con gái, bằng mọi giá, ba muốn con phải học thành tài rồi mới được lập gia đình.  Lỡ sau này hôn nhân có đổ vỡ, con vẫn có thể tự mình đứng dậy bằng sức của mình để lo cho bản thân mà không bị phụ thuộc vào ai.  Nếu không có sự dạy dỗ của ba, chắc chắn con không được như ngày nay.

Dù con đã lập gia đình và có con, nhưng ba luôn thương và luôn cho con hưởng những mật ngọt như thời thơ ấu.  Mỗi lần lái xe tới thăm ba, có món gì ngon, ba lại dành cho con.  Trước khi về, ba lại bỏ tiền vào tay con, nói ba mẹ con thích ăn gì thì ăn, rồi đổ xăng cho đầy trước khi về con nhé.  Nhớ lái xe cho an toàn.  Vì lẽ đó, cứ mỗi lần về thăm ba rồi lúc về, nước mắt con rơi vì con biết con sẽ rất nhớ ba khi trở về với cuộc sống hằng ngày.

Con thật sự quá may mắn có một người ba quá tuyệt vời.  Vì lẽ đó, con xin ba phù hộ cho ba mẹ con con, và đừng quên cho con thêm sức mạnh.  Để dù không có ba bên cạnh, con sẽ vẫn tiếp tục sống mạnh mẽ.  Vì con là con gái của ba mà.  Ba con mình chỉ tạm thời xa nhau.  Hẹn gặp lại ba nhé.

Và... nếu có kiếp sau, nếu cho con quyền lựa chọn, con cũng sẽ xin Chúa cho con được làm con gái của ba...

It is with great sorrow that my brother in law  (Brother Joseph to me) has passed away! Knowing him since Sept 1962, it was always a blessing to be with him! He now joins my LOVE and the rest of his family with joy and peace. Wish  I could be at his funeral, but flying alone, not a option. My prayers are with the Nguyen Family!

I remembered as a little girl when Uncle came to United States 🇺🇸 of America 🇺🇸 He talked about American 🥘 and how he Said “I will try it”!!!! Maybe I will like it!!! Uncle Nhan taught what was the Vietnamese Culture as much as he could.!! I remember Uncle dedicated to his work at the church in Warren Michigan. Uncle Nhan was very Open to come visit him when possible  & most kind and a man of wisdom!
