José Angel De León Castillo

José Angel will always be cherished and remembered for his contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor, and his genuine, caring heart for people. He strived daily to live out his faith and teach the word of God. He was a hardworking servant of the Lord, having dedicated 35 years of service as a minister of the Gospel. José Angel was the devoted husband of María “Lupita” De León; the adoring father of Abdías Arfaxad, Angel Abisaí and Abraham Isaí; the joyful father-in-law to Jessica and Samantha; the loving brother to Martin, Nicanora, Martha, Idalia, Maricela, Ramiro, Diana and Enrique; and will forever be remembered by his three beautiful grand-daughters, Arlette Azeneth, Anneliese Alazne and Arianne Alayne, his “florecitas del desierto” as he loved to call them.

Visitation for José Angel will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704. A Memorial Service will occur Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704. An interment will occur Monday, October 25, 2021 at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, Texas 78748.

An invitation is extended to family and friends who would like to join a lunch gathering at 1:00 PM following burial service. Funeral reception to be held at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Austin, 2100 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, Texas 78741.
