Jimmy was born in Austin, Texas on December 22, 1957 and passed away on August 17, 2022. He attended Jerry Joslin Elementary School, Porter Junior High and graduated from David Crockett High School. He played Pee Wee League, Little League and Pony League Baseball. His favorite time was spent hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors, working on motors and working with wood. He learned auto mechanics from his Dad and from high school. After graduation he studied and became an electrician. He retired from W K Jennings Co. in late 2021.
David has good memories of him & Jimmy going to the lake cabin growing up fishing, swimming, boating, and exploring in the woods. Jimmy loved his Plymouth Duster that I, Jimmy, and our dad built. It was a true hot rod.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann (Burks) Dieterich and one son Anthony (Tony) James Dieterich. Parents are James Albert (deceased) and Shirley Dieterich, one brother David Wayne Dieterich and wife Diane of Wasilla, AK, also nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 2620 South Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704. A burial will occur Monday, August 29, 2022 at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.
