Jim Solis, husband, father, son, brother and uncle, went to be with the Jesus on July 31, 2010.
James was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Solis. He is survived by his wife Fay; son
Aaron and daughter Amber Spearman; his son-in-law Russel Spearman; his mother Irene Solis; his sisters, Mildred Folta, Mary Solis, Theresa Solis, and Patricia Foster; as well as his nephews Chris Pryor and Andrew Foster and niece Megan Foster.
He was born and raised in Muskegon MI and left to join the Navy in 1984. He and Fay lived in South Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey and Michigan in the years they were raising their family. He and Fay moved to Austin in 2009. Outside of being a devoted husband and father, his life was filled with guitar playing and serving in his church. He has been a member of Calvary Chapel Bastrop since arriving in Texas.
The memorial service is planned for August 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, N. Lamar location.
