Jacqueline Yvette Bedford Barlowe was born on January 10, 1964 in Austin, TX. She was the youngest and only girl born to the union of Ira S. Bedford Sr. and Willie Harris Bedford. She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age joining David Chapel Baptist Church.
Jacqueline aka “Jackie” was a strong family-oriented woman. Being a mother was her pride and joy. Her two sons and grandchildren meant everything to her. She also had a gift of making people feel good about themselves and always caring for people. She was a very confident woman. Always “dressed to the nines” looking fabulous as she would say.
Throughout her illness she showed up to each appointment and treatment with the best attitude and as the best dressed. She would always say “this is my job and I’m going to work”. She never looked like what she been through. She was a fighter and her strength inspired many. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the holidays. Cheesecakes were her specialty and even when she didn’t feel well, she mustered up enough strength to make them. She also loved spending time with family and listening to music. She was one of the rare ones so effortlessly herself and was loved by those who knew it.
She departed this life on the 16th day of June 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira S. Bedford Sr. and Willie Bedford and one brother, Ira S. Bedford Jr.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her two sons, Arthur Barlowe and Andrew Barlowe; four grandchildren, Avery Barlowe, Aubrey Barlowe, London Barlowe, and Roman Barlowe; three brothers, Ronald Bedford, Gregory Bedford (Val), and Reginald Bedford; sister-in-law Charmaine Bedford; one aunt, Roberta Mackey; one uncle, John Bedford (Margie); three nieces; three nephews and a host of family and friends.
