Hipolito "Polito" Rodriguez

Hipolito "Polito" Rodriguez, age 74, returned to his heavenly home on December 26, 2018, surrounded by his family at his beloved home in Austin, Texas. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus Christ gave him the strength and conviction on his travels to heaven in peace.

Polito was born on February 20, 1944 to Maria and Teofilo Rodriguez in El Salvador. He married his beautiful bride, Clemencia Rodriguez, 52 years ago on April 30, 1966. He was blessed with a large and loving family. Polito helped his caring wife to raise eight children with patience, discipline, and love. From the beginning, he dedicated his children to Jesus Christ and encouraged them to pursue the Word of God.

Polito is survived by his wife Clemencia, his daughters Elizabeth (husband Joaquin), Yoanna (husband Jorge), and his sons Wilfredo (wife Elizabeth), Hevert (wife Marisol), Jose (wife Lydia), Angel (wife Hilda), Aris (wife Heidi), Melvin (wife Claudia), all his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

His passing has left us with a sense of deep sadness and a piece of our hearts departed the day God took Polito to the heavens. He is now living with Jesus Christ

in a beautiful place where God has wiped away every tear from his eyes and death shall be no more, neither mourning, nor crying or pain anymore. We have the hope to see him again when God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

The family will have the pleasure to greet friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 for the visitation time. Pastor Oscar Dominguez will officiate the service.

Funeral Service will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 am. Polito will be laid to rest at the Onion Creek Memorial Park in Austin Texas.
