If there is a rainbow bridge for people, then Hannah Hoke Kilgore, 75, of Austin, Texas crossed it on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022. She was born in Dallas, Texas on June 5th, 1946 to Olga Owen Hoke and Frank Anderson Hoke. She attended Kimball high school in Oak Cliff before going to the University of Texas at Austin. While at UT, she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and met husband of 54 years, John Robert Kilgore, II.
Later in life, she returned to Texas State University (Southwest Texas State University at the time) and completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She went on to obtain her Certified Public Accountancy license. During her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and wildflowers. She never missed the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center plant sale. Most of all, she loved all her dogs. She participated in dog training and shows with her English Springer and Brittany Spaniels. Her friends and the community surrounding the dogs filled her heart.
Hannah is survived by her husband, John Kilgore, her son Robert Kilgore, her granddaughters, Aislynn and Trudy Kilgore, her sister, Helen Littell, and her beloved dog Delilah.
