With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, papa, Jerry Whitehead on July 20, 2021 at the age of 86. He was the son of Gus Whitehead and Georgia Pettit of Gonzales County, TX. He grew up in Austin, Texas with his 9 siblings.
Jerry loved Austin. He enjoyed taking his kids to visit museums, the Capitol, Zilker Park, and the lakes and rivers around the city. He was a loyal University of Longhorn fan. He owned Ace Plumbing Company in North Austin for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Neenah Whitehead and their children, Teri Ann Robbins, Gina Marie Langley, Lisa Diana Powers, James Patrick O’Brien, Barbara O’Brien, Stephen O’Brien, and Kenneth Edward O’Brien. Jerry was a proud grandpa/papa to Sarah, Amber, Lauren, Emily, Wesley, Kevin, Crystal, Kevin, Patrick, Kelly, Natalie, Michael, Sean, Heather, Ashley, Taylor, Rebekah, and Kathryn. He is also survived by 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will occur at 11:00am on Saturday, July 24th at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX.
