Gish,    My best friend's only sister, I heard an earful about you before I ever met you. I have to admit I had lofty expectations for the kind of sister who could make handle Fernando, but you shattered them all. You inspired me with the candid way you raised Sam, your sharp and witty sense of humor, and your optimism in the face of daunting odds. You are so many things to so many people, and you charmed everyone around you in your own way.  You had this unique way of keeping everyone around you grounded and unpretentious. I especially loved hearing you and Fernando's stories about growing up in Austin. You lived life to its fullest, and lived it without regrets.  It was a blessing to have known you.



Gish you are honestly the strongest person I've ever known.  You had the strength to fight this horrible disease...and the courage to say enough.  John and I will never forget you making us spaghetti shortly after we started dating.  That was 20+ years ago.  We love you and will miss you always.  Know that we will be there for your Mom, Sam and Papa Beaux.  Forever in our hearts, The Billerbeck's.



Stephanie, Samantha and the Serrano Family, our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you.  Gish was so special an angel from heaven who grew up before my eyes from a young girl to a beautiful lady and then a Mom beating all the odds along the way.      Samantha you were her gift from heaven and we all fell in love with you from that moment on.  Keep her memories close to your heart and she will always be with you.



Dear Serrano Family,    I'm sure that you have no idea who I am anymore, but I met Gisela more than 20 years ago through a mutual friend, Avery Roberts.  Although so much time has passed, it made my heart sink to see that Gisela had passed. Though I only knew her for a short time, I can still remember her to this day. Gisela had one of the most amazing laughs that I have ever known. I can still hear her laugh till this day. My condolensces to your family during this time.
